The Felix Mario Go Foundation, through its founder Fransiscus Go, expressed appreciation for the initiative of Baomong Non Stop (BNS) Production in organizing the “Takuju Market” event. This event was specially facilitated for young entrepreneurs in Kupang City, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), as a platform to showcase their work, build networks, and promote local MSMEs and brands.
Fransiscus Go, known as an advocate for MSMEs, expressed his happiness seeing the public’s enthusiasm for the event. “I’m truly delighted to see how lively and festive Takuju Market is today. People are coming in droves to enjoy the creations of young individuals and local MSMEs,” he said from Jakarta on Monday (April 7, 2025).
CEO of BNS Production, Andi Zulkifli, explained that Takuju Market is an initiative to support MSMEs and local brands. “This is a platform for young entrepreneurs in Kupang not only to showcase their creations but also to network and promote their products,” Andi said.
The event also received full support from the Felix Mario Go Foundation, owned by Fransiscus Go. “Takuju Market is the first event we’ve entrusted to BNS Production as a form of support for youth-led MSMEs,” Andi added.
Takuju Market was created as a response to the growing challenges faced by local MSMEs, increasingly sidelined by the dominance of e-commerce and cheap imported goods. “We want to provide space for youth to contribute to the local economy,” Andi emphasized.
The event is held on the second floor of Umera Kofie Café from April 7–13, 2025, featuring 21 local MSME brands from various categories such as accessories, fashion, woven products, perfumes, and thrift shops.
Takuju Market operates from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM WITA on weekdays, and extends until 10:00 PM WITA on weekends (Friday to Sunday). Visitors can also enjoy live music performances by talented local youth.
One of the participants, Rivaldo Adu from Parfum Beta, appreciated the event. “This is a great event because it helps small MSMEs like us to become more recognized by the public,” he said.
He hopes that through Takuju Market, his products will gain more recognition amid the perfume shop competition in Kupang. “We want to offer the public quality perfumes at affordable prices,” Rivaldo concluded.
This event is expected to be a first step in encouraging the growth of youth MSMEs in Kupang and strengthening NTT’s creative economy.
Parfum Beta, a youth-led MSME in Kupang, expressed appreciation for the initiative behind Takuju Market, calling it a positive first event that supports local MSME growth and offers a promotional platform to reach a wider audience.
“This event is great because, for small MSMEs like us, we really need more promotional opportunities so that our businesses can be known to more people,” said Rivaldo Adu.
He added that there are many perfume stores in Kupang, but events like this help boost visibility, offering the public more choices for high-quality perfumes at affordable prices.
Especially for the Takuju Pesta event, Parfum Beta — located in Fatululi across from Siloam Hospital — offers hundreds of top perfumes in various sizes. Their goal is to sell 100 bottles during the event, targeting revenue of IDR 5–8 million.
“We have high hopes that the Takuju Pesta will help increase Beta Parfum’s sales,” added Rivaldo.
One of the unique features of Takuju Market, held from April 7–13, 2025, is the implementation of a digital economy with a cashless payment system. The event is supported by several sponsors, including Bank Indonesia (BI) NTT using the QRIS payment method and official banking partner Bank Mandiri.
“At Takuju Market, we are also promoting cashless payments, with sponsors such as BI through QRIS and our official bank partner, Bank Mandiri,” said Andi.
One visitor, Britania, shared her thoughts on the cashless transaction experience, saying that in today’s digital era, non-cash payments are becoming an essential part of daily life. With QRIS, there’s no need to carry cash or make frequent ATM withdrawals.
“I think using QRIS is better — you don’t need to pull out cash or go to an ATM. It’s simple: you receive the goods immediately and the payment is processed instantly,” Britania explained.
