Jakarta – Fransiscus Go, a prominent figure from East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) who has long been dedicated to community empowerment, conveyed his greetings for International Labor Day, observed every May 1. In his message, he emphasized the importance of appreciating workers’ contributions to the nation’s economic development.
“Happy Labor Day to all workers in Indonesia. Your spirit and hard work are the backbone of this country’s progress,” said Fransiscus Go in an official statement. He also expressed appreciation for the dedication of laborers across various sectors, from industry to services.
Frans Go stressed that Labor Day is not just a ceremonial event but a moment to reflect on the fate of workers.
“This is the time for us to collectively ensure that workers’ welfare continues to improve, whether in terms of wages, health protection, or social security,” he added.
As both an observer and a player in the industrial sector, Frans Go acknowledged the challenges faced by workers, especially amid global economic fluctuations. He called on all parties to focus on improving workers’ conditions.
“Workers’ welfare must be a priority. Fair wages, safe working environments, and opportunities for skill development are basic rights that must be fulfilled,” Frans Go asserted.
On the other hand, Go also encouraged workers to continuously improve their competencies in the digital era. “The Industrial Revolution 4.0 demands adaptation. I hope workers can take advantage of training and technology to enhance productivity,” he said.
In closing, Go expressed hope that Labor Day 2025 would mark a turning point in advancing workers’ rights. “Let us work together to create a fair and humane work ecosystem. Keep fighting, Indonesia’s economic warriors!” he concluded.
