Kupang City \u2013 The inaugural Takuju Market, held on the second floor of Caf\u00e9 Umera Kofie in Kupang City, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), on Saturday afternoon (7\/4), captured the attention of visitors, predominantly young people.<\/p>\n
Starting at 3:00 PM WIB, visitors began flocking to the caf\u00e9\u2019s second floor, located on Jalan W.J. Lalamentik, to enliven the event initiated by Baomong Non Stop (BNS) Production.<\/p>\n
This seven-day event, running from April 7 to 13, 2025, aims to support young entrepreneurs in Kupang City, particularly those in the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector.<\/p>\n
Supported by the Felix Mario Go Foundation, Takuju Market serves as a platform expected to contribute to the local economy and provide an alternative for local products increasingly marginalized by the dominance of e-commerce and cheap imported goods.<\/p>\n
“We\u2019re kicking off today, and this is the first event entrusted to us by the Felix Mario Go Foundation, owned by Mr. Fransiscus Go, a patron who cares deeply about youth MSMEs,” said Andi Zulkifli, Event Director of Takuju Market 2025.<\/p>\n
According to Andi, the event focuses on Kupang\u2019s youth engaged in various MSME businesses, ranging from accessories and local fashion brands to locally made perfumes, woven crafts, knitted products, shoes, nail art, tarot readings, and thrift shops.<\/p>\n
“Takuju Market is BNS\u2019s initiative to support MSMEs and local brands as a platform for Kupang\u2019s young entrepreneurs. It\u2019s not just about showcasing their work but also about building networks and promoting their products,” added Andi, who also serves as CEO of BNS Production.<\/p>\n
The event features 21 diverse MSMEs across various business categories for visitors to explore. It is open to the public daily from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM WITA, with extended hours on weekends, from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM WITA.<\/p>\n
Additionally, visitors were entertained by live music performances from talented young artists in Kupang, adding to the vibrant atmosphere of Takuju Market.<\/p>\n
“We hope this event can continue to grow and have a positive impact on the local economy while providing a space for young people to express their creativity,” Andi concluded.<\/p>\n
